Directions

From the North (M11 Southbound):
Exit M11 at junction 10 and at roundabout take the first exit onto the A505. Turn right at first roundabout onto A1301, pass under trunk road at Stump Cross continuing on B184 into Saffron Walden. Turn left at traffic lights just beyond church. Follow one way system keeping straight ahead until reaching traffic lights, turning right onto Thaxted Road (B184). THAXTED HALL will be found on the left after 5 miles. Turn left at the B1051 junction signposted Great Sampford and Haverhill then immediately right into the drive.

From the South - MAIN ROAD ROUTE, FROM M11 travelling northbound:
Exit M11 at junction 8 (A120 Exit). Take the A120, Colchester direction. Exit at signs for Great Dunmow and continue to the town centre. Turn left onto B184 signposted Thaxted. Continue for 6 miles. Pass through Thaxted bearing right at the top of the hill. THAXTED HALL will be found on the right after a quarter of a mile, just beyond the sports field. Turn right at the B1051 junction signposted Great Sampford and Haverhill, then immediately right into the drive.

ALTERNATIVE (QUICKER) ROUTE FROM M11 travelling northbound:
Exit at junction 8a taking the sliproad to Stansted Airport and follow the signs indicating the passenger terminal and short stay parking. At the Coopers End roundabout, take the exit towards Molehill Green and Broxted. Follow all subsequent signposts indicating Thaxted. After 1 mile turn right at the Three Horseshoes Pub (signposted Broxted and Thaxted). After 1 mile turn right at the ‘T’ junction. After 50 yards turn left at the Prince of Wales Restaurant and Bar. After the next junction (0.8 of a mile) turn right, then after 100 yards turn left. At the next junction turn right onto B1051. Be careful - look left twice. Once into Thaxted, turn left at the ‘T’ junction up the hill towards Saffron Walden (B184). THAXTED HALL will be found on the right after a quarter of a mile, just beyond the sports field. Turn right at the B1051 junction signposted Great Sampford & Haverhill then immediately right again into the drive.
