Norwich Area Guide
Norwich is considered to be the capital of East Anglia and is an attractive and prosperous city. Located in the centre of an agricultural region it is an increasingly modern city, both interesting to visit for the cities sites or as a base for exploring the Norfolk broads.
There are shopping opportunities throughout the city from local markets to modern pedestrianised malls and department stores. For entertainment head to the theatre or one of the cities many pubs - brewing was a chief industry here for many years.
The city still retains many of its historical features with cobbled streets to wander around and historic buildings such as the honey coloured Cathedral and Castle which dominate the city. To explore Norwich's past, the Bridewell museum or the Castle museums are worth a visit.
