London City Guide

Stretching over much of the south east of England and situated on the River Thames near the English Channel, London is Europe's largest city. There are five main airports which serve the London area, including London City Airport, which is the capital's main business airport. Situated only 10 miles from the shopper's paradise, the West End, 6 miles from the centre of London and 3 miles from the heart of London's newest business and financial district, the impressive Canary Wharf. London City Airport is a flourishing establishment in an excellent location.

London is one of the world's foremost centres of theatre, classical music, and fine arts. Trafalgar Square's National Gallery is home to some of the finest European paintings in the world, while Shaftsbury Avenue and Covent Garden are alive with street performers and music. The British Museum houses excellent collections that cover world cultures from Prehistory to the present day. Across the river Thames is the 'Millennium Mile' of modern art - Tate Modern and the Saatchi, famous theatres and concert halls, and the London Eye, giving spectacular views over the whole of the city, including the nearby Houses of Parliament.
