This vibrant capital city of Northern Ireland is located on the coast below the Cave Hill and the Black Mountain. Belfast has much to offer its visitors from history and culture to cuisine and nightlife.

Exploring the city on foot allows you to take in all the sights at your own pace. The Cathedral Quarter is home to St Anne's Cathedral with its impressive stain glass windows and Belfast Castle sits on the slopes of Cavenhill overlooking Belfast Lough, both are well worth a visit. Other attractions include the City Hall, Parliament Buildings, Queens University and Alexandra Park Gate Lodge. Notable museums in the city include The Fernhill House museum with displays depicting the history of the Shankhill area, the Ulster Folk museum and the Odyssey exhibition and entertainment complex.

Some people visit Belfast just to shop and it is obvious why with the popular shopping around Donegall Place and the fashionable stores in the Lisburn Road. There should be something for everyone, if not the selection of big fashion names then the traditional Northern Irish crafts where pottery, jewellery, glassware, woodwork and ceramics are on offer.

Belfast boasts an impressive choice of hotels, restaurants and cafés all offering excellent cuisine with seafood and freshwater fish often featuring on the menus. The nightlife is vibrant with lively pubs and a great choice of buzzing nightclubs.
