Aberdeen Airport Information

After starting its life in 1931 and being used mainly as a military base, Aberdeen airport developed into a major helicopter base. BAA took over the airport in the 1980s and today it is one of the world's busiest heliports as well as serving 2.7 million passengers a year and offering flights on over 25 airlines to around 35 destinations.

The airport has one main terminal and offers bureau de change, duty free shopping and a selection of places to eat and drink. There are good transport links to and from the airport and car hire is also available.
